Buttermilk Biscuits

4 cups flour
2 TBS. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 TBS. sugar
2/3 cup butter, softened
1-1/2 cups buttermilk
Melted margarine

Combine dry ingredients; cut in butter. Add buttermilk, stirring until moistened. On lightly floured board, knead 4 - 5 times. Cut biscuits rather thickly and put on lightly greased cookie sheet. Brush top with margarine and bake in preheated 450 degree oven for 10 - 15 minutes. Makes 24 biscuits.
